The Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montreal and NGO “Ukraine-2050” President, Eugene Czolij, attended a meeting with the EU Commissioner on Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath, organized by the Montreal Institute for Global Security, on October 22,  2025 in Montreal.

During this meeting, Eugene Czolij raised the issue of the confiscation of Russia’s frozen assets abroad and their transfer to Ukraine for its defence and reconstruction.
