The Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montreal, Eugene Czolij, attended a reception for the exchange of New Year's greetings of the Diplomatic Corps of Montreal at the invitation of the Mayor of Montreal, Soraya Martinez Ferrada, on January 21, 2026 in Montreal.

During this event, he informed the Mayor of Montreal of Russia’s efforts to freeze Ukrainians to death and asked for her support.
