The Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montreal, Eugene Czolij, attended a civic reception on the occasion of the National Holiday of Quebec on 24 June 2024 in Montreal. During this event, the Honorary Consul met the Mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, wished her all the best and thanked her for the assistance to Ukrainians temporarily displaced in Montreal.

Eugene Czolij also met with the Quebec Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, Pierre Fitzgibbon, and the Minister responsible for Social Solidarity and Community Action of Quebec, Chantal Rouleau, thanked them for the support of Ukraine and raised some issues regarding Ukrainians temporarily displaced in Quebec.
