On 12 September 2023 in Montreal, the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montreal, Eugene Czolij, attended a reception marking the end of the mandate of the Consul General of Japan in Montreal, Jun Saito, and thanked him for Japan’s support of Ukraine during Russia’s genocidal war against Ukraine.
