On 20 February 2024 in Montreal, the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montreal, Eugene Czolij, greeted Montreal policeman, Sergeant Denis Perrier, on his retirement and thanked him for having joined in 2022 the International Legion of Ukraine for six months and fought to defend Ukraine’s territorial integrity against Russia’s invasion.
