The Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Montreal, Eugene Czolij, attended a reception in honour of the Montreal Consular Corps at the invitation of the Mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, on 1 November 2023 in Montreal.
During this event, he thanked the Mayor of Montreal for the assistance to Ukrainians displaced in Montreal and raised several current issues regarding them, which they decided to discuss in greater depth at a separate meeting. He also emphasized that Ukraine now needs effective support from the West in order to liberate all its territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
